ST/SC/OBC Cell

SXC, Simdega is opposed to all sorts of caste-based education system and it never indulges in any type of caste-discrimination while imparting education for all in the society. The aim of the cell is to assist the students who belong to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Communities (OBC), for supporting academic performance and financial benefits from the government. The college has formed SC/ST/OBC cell with the purpose to look into the special needs of the students belonging to SC, ST and OBC categories. In adherence of UGC Policy on prevention of caste-based discrimination in HEIs, the SC/ST/OBC cell of the College sets its goals to function within the campus since the day of its introduction.


Vision

To create an inclusive and supportive environment for students and employees from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC) in educational institutions.


Mission

To promote their academic and personal growth, ensuring they have access to opportunities and resources, and addressing any challenges they may face.


Objectives

  • To promote higher education among SC/ST/OBC communities suffering from economic / social and educational deprivations.
  • To function as an organ of grievances redressal to the students of SC/ST/OBC categories.
  • To monitor and evaluate the reservation policies and other programmes intended for SC/ST/OBC students within the campus.
  • To suggest follow up measures to the College administration for successful implementation of Government policies to empower the students of such backward classes in the society.
  • To introduce and make the students of the College aware of various government scholarships.
  • To integrate and promote the students who belong to SC/ST & OBC community at par with the main stream student body.
  • To create a platform where students can point out their problems, regarding academic and non-academic matters.
  • To monitor the implementation of reservation policy in the institution.
