St. Xavier’s College as an affiliated college has adopted the semester system of Ranchi University, Ranchi. At the time of admission each student will opt for an Honours(Major) subject in which he/she will concentrate and Elective (MDC/ Minor) subjects, which he/she would choose to study. The undergraduate level curriculum is for four years under NEP.
Academic Year: Two consecutive (One Odd + One Even) semesters constitute in one Academic Year.
Semester System: The odd semester is scheduled from July to December and the even semester from January to June. Each week has a minimum of 30 working hours spread over 6 days.
The college is an Affiliated College of Ranchi University, Ranchi. It offers Undergraduate (B.A./B.Com. Honours ) Courses under the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Commerce.
