UG/PG Programme

Our Curriculum

St. Xavier’s College as an affiliated college has adopted the semester system of Ranchi University, Ranchi. At the time of admission each student will opt for an Honours(Major) subject in which he/she will concentrate and Elective (MDC/ Minor) subjects, which he/she would choose to study. The undergraduate level curriculum is for four years under NEP.


Semester System

Academic Year: Two consecutive (One Odd + One Even) semesters constitute in one Academic Year.

Semester System: The odd semester is scheduled from July to December and the even semester from January to June. Each week has a minimum of 30 working hours spread over 6 days.
